There are 24 ancient alphabetic symbols which make up a set of Runes. They can be made from many different materials, wood, glass, semi precious stones to name but a few.
They are believed to have originated from the Northern parts of Europe sometime during the Palaeolithic period.
They are alphabetic in nature, and their symbology is considered by many to be far more powerful in communication than the language that we use today. There is said to be a link between the power of the mind and the stones, as well as other magical properties, which are represented by the symbology contained within each letter.
